wondering if theres any particular shows that stand out from them, although I have a feeling theyre all really good

i've listened to lots of Jerry stuff, but i have to say i haven't given the Garcia/Grisman shows their proper due, however, the one show i have listened to quite a bit, and probably because i got it from gdlive a couple of years ago, is the 12/8/91 show at the Warfield, the Shady Grove is quite excellent, but the whole performance is actually quite sublime

i get the feeling that any show they did from 90-92 is gonna be really stellar, its not like they jammed as intensely as the dead. the performances are all about the mood and intimacy

good point about the Garcia/Grisman shows being more about the mood and setting, and i agree; i also like the pairing because Jerry's traditional style songs and singing are quite different, and yet highly enjoyable to listen to; i especially like the contrast between Jerry singing Shady Grove in '62 and then with David in '91 at the show i mentioned above, and dare i say it, i think i prefer Jerry on the earlier version; see for yourself:
